Rendy Raka Pramudya graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Faculty of Fine Arts, majoring in Fine Arts Painting. Like other students, he started college by painting formalist, symbolic, and expressionist. Rendy's interest in abstracts appeared when he felt 'satisfied' with the ability to paint with realist techniques, which at that time he thought were merely imitating an object. He felt that there was something more important to paint than 'just imitating objects'. Over the years he developed several non-figurative series titled, "Creating the Journey of Life" (2014), "Will in Creation" (2016), "Layers of Life" (2016), and "Forms of Time in Creation" (2017). In all of his explorations, he believes that there exists one space that humans cannot attain. It is in that unattainable space that he tries to create in his paintings where perception towards any objects are avoided.
